What the participants say
Matsumae Event 2025 was the largest and most successful edition of the event to date. The event brought together more than 680 school students and over 200 participants for Culture Day, as well as more than 250 professionals, researchers, and business leaders from over 100 organizations and companies for two business days.

Jais Valeur
Honorary Consul General of Japan
Jais Valeur is a Danish business leader and former Group CEO of the international food company Danish Crown, where he has led the company’s development and international partnerships. In 2024, he was appointed Honorary Consul‑General of Japan in Vejle, with responsibility for strengthening relations between Japan and Denmark, and he works actively to promote cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.
Anna Marie Juul
Orylab
Anna Maria Juul is a Danish‑international leader affiliated with the Japanese company OryLab Inc., where she serves as Project Leader for the company’s global division and works on developing and implementing technology and social initiatives that promote inclusion and combat loneliness through innovative solutions. She has previously worked as a translator and international specialist at OryLab and plays a key role in building bridges between Japan and the company’s international partners.
