Matsumae Event 2025
Matsumae Event 2025 was the largest and most successful edition of the event to date. The event brought together more than 680 school students and over 200 participants for Culture Day, as well as more than 250 professionals, researchers and business leaders from over 100 organisations and companies for two business days.
2025 also introduced Matsumae Culture, which included Japanese cultural workshops for school students and a Japanese Film Festival at the Lido Cinema. This strengthened the cultural foundation of the event and offered citizens and young people in Vejle a unique international experience.
The business programme consisted of a conference, morning meetings and company visits that created concrete networking and collaboration opportunities. The event was also honoured by visits from, among others, Minister for the Elderly Mette Kierkgaard and Jais Valeur, former CEO of Danish Crown, which underlined the national relevance of the event.
Overall, Matsumae Event 2025 has demonstrated that Vejle can serve as a strong international platform for collaboration, innovation and cultural exchange.
